Parson’s Cove Beach

Located in Sandy’s Parish, Parson’s Cove is one of the most beautiful beaches in Bermuda. Sandy’s is made up of five islands that are connected by bridges and covers a total area of 2.3 square miles. This parish is relatively quiet and gives off a peaceful and serene vibe. Parson’s Cove beach has white sand, clear shallow water and a serene Bermuda beach. It is great for spending some private time with your partner as it is not crowded, or you can go snorkelling in shallow water. Your partner and you can also take a picnic or just lounge in the sun in each other’s company. It is safe to visit and is mostly frequented by the locals. The good location along with amazing views make this beach one of the most romantic beaches in Bermuda. The easiest way to get to Parson’s Cove is by a cycle or scooter, as buses do not ply on this route.

There are other attractions around Parson’s Cove, in Sandy’s Parish like the Hog Bay Beach that is in the Hog Bay Park –  a nature reserve. The beach can only be visible during low tide and it is difficult to get to at high tide. Other attractions include Daniel’s Head Park & Beach, Somerset Long Bay Beach and Park, Snorkel Park, Palm Island, Gladys Morrell Nature Reserve and Black Bay Beach. The Mangrove Bay beach is great for swimming and picnicking, while the Lagoon Park is great for a sunset picnic on the grass with your partner. Activities like boat tours, scuba diving, snorkelling cruises are available for vacationers to take advantage of.

Things to Do at Parson’s Cove

Couples looking for some summer fun can stop at Snorkel Park for water sports and then dance till the wee hours at the nightclub. You and your partner can watch turtles if you visit the Somerset Long Bay Beach and Park. Walk through the trails at Hog Bay park to get to the Hog Bay Beach or go to the Royal Naval Dockyard for some historic monuments and museum. The Kings Wharf Dockyard comes alive on Mondays/Tuesdays with festival celebrations known as Destination Dockyard. There is music, dance and great food for couples to enjoy. Couples can also visit the nearby Somerset and Fort Scaur. Many hotels and cottages dot the shoreline and are available for couples to relax in.

All things considered, Parson’s Cove is one of the quiet, relaxed beaches in North America and couples do benefit from the solitude and privacy. But if they are looking for more to do, then the attractions around this beach will definitely catch their interest.
